In order to begin using HUD3 with Outlook for click-to-call, you need to update your dialing rules within Outlook.

All HUD2 customers should change their Dialing Rules as specified below.  HUD2 required more extensive configuration options than HUD3.  With HUD3, Fonality has automated nearly all of the dial plan configuration for you.  The only thing you need to tell Outlook is the area code where you work.

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Control Panel
4. Switch to Classic View
5. Open Phone and Modem settings
6. On the Dialing Rules tab, click the location to modify, and then click Edit
7. Click a tab to make changes to the General settings
8. Enter the area code of your office location
9. Click Apply
10. Click OK
11. You should now be able to right-click on any Contact within your Outlook application, select "Call ... via HUD" and initiate an outbound call correctly
