How do I add an extension?

To add a new extension to your trixbox Pro , follow these steps:

1. Click Extensions --> add extension
2. trixbox Pro assumes a 7XXX extension numbering range.  The 'add extension' page assumes the next sequential extension number from 7000 that is not currently in use.  If you would like to change this number, type in the extension you wish to use.
3. Fill in the First Name and Last Name fields (required)
4. Fill in the Web Username and Web Password fields (required)
5. Select the Inbound phone number for the user (if applicable)
6. Select the device (phone) for the user (if applicable - unassigned extensions are considered 'virtual' extensions)
7. The voicemail box number matches the extension automatically if you leave the default setting of 'new mailbox'.  You may select an existing voicemail box if you wish, but all messages will be available to any extension 'attached' to the same mailbox.
8. Select a voicemail password (numeric only - required)
9. Click 'Add Extension' at the bottom
