エコーの対策方法

You can adjust your trixbox Pro 's echo and volume settings to reduce echo on PSTN lines. It will take a little tweaking and playing around with settings before settings are perfect.

Adjusting The Send and Recieve Volume (TX and RX Gain)

IMPORTANT: Do not change volume settings by more than 2-3db at a time. Note that decibel values are logarithmic.

    1. Click on Options --> echo

    2. Adjust the RX (receive) and TX (transmit) gain values.  Like a stereo, if the current echo is loud, lower the volume; if the echo is soft, raise the volume.

    3. Click "Apply All Changes"

Adjustment Techniques (How Do I Adjust The Volume To Best Eliminate Echo?)

Adjusting gain to compensate for echo is a bit like a game of "hot or cold".  You will need to make a test call after each adjustment to check your settings.

No two customer systems will be exactly alike in terms of echo settings.  Echo is present in all forms of sound at all times.  In the vast majority of cases, the human brain compensates for echo automatically, but when the delay between two sound waves (e.g. when you hear an echo) becomes too great, our brains can no longer merge the sound waves into a single stream.

What Else Can Be Done To Eliminate Echo

Fonality strongly recommends Hardware Echo Cancellation

Over 95% of echo cases that are not resolved by adjusting your “Options->echo training” setting and volume levels can be quickly and painlessly resolved by installing hardware based echo cancellation.
